A diverse group of teenagers, each with a dream of becoming an astronaut, gathers at a summer camp to learn the workings of the NASA space program. A few days into their instruction, they and their teacher get the incredible opportunity to go aboard the Atlantis space shuttle during a 20-minute engine test. While the youngsters bask in the thrill of being within the Atlantis, it is accidently launched, and the fledgling astronauts suddenly find themselves speeding toward the weightless world of outer space in a spacecraft that is not flight ready. The group will learn the meaning of courage, trust and teamwork as never before when they unite to survive this incredible adventure of beauty, mystery and danger.
